  • $1.2 million from the California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) Youth Reinvestment Grant to fund Luna Y Sol.

  • $1.2 million from the Subsanta Abuse Mental Health Services Agency (SAMHSA) to fund the offender re-entry program.

  • $12 million from Proposition 47 to fund the Coordinated Access for Empowering Success (CAFES) Program.

  • $200,000 from the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) Proud Parenting Program.

  • $300,000 from the BSCC Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction (MIOCR) grant funding FUERTE Wraparound Program.

  • $1 million from the BSCC Mentally Ill Offender Crime Reduction (MIOCR) grant funding Project Thrive.

 

Money brought into the community funding mental health programs

  • $1 million from multiple foundation grants to fund various Encompass programs.
     

Money brought into the community funding substance abuse programs

  • $1 million from Drug-Free Communities.

  • $1 million from BSCC and Proposition 64.

  • $1.3 million from the Hub and Spokes grant.
     

Money brought into the community funding immigration rights and programs

  • $3 million State grant supporting a community based organization that works on immigration rights in the Central Coast region.

  • $900,000 from the State of CA Department of Health and Human Services ImmigrationServices Funding Program.
     

Money brought into the community funding homelessness

  • $1 million annually from HUD to provide continuous funding through our Continuum of Care.

  • $150,000 from the US Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families, Runaway and Homeless Youth grant.

  • $525,000 (successfully awarded three times) from the California Department of Education Education for Homeless Children and Youth Grant Program.

  • $300,000 from the CA Office of Emergency Services Innovative Response to Marginalized Victims Project.

  • $1.2 million from SAMHSA Housing for Health.
     

Money brought into the community funding youth development, education and family strengthening

  • $4 million from the Head Start Program.

  • $800,000 from the Gates Foundation to provide professional development and support for teachers.

  • $850,000 (successfully awarded three times) from the Workforce Investment Grant Youth Services Program funding SUENOS.

  • $5 million from the US Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families Pathways Grants.
     

Money brought into the community funding obesity prevention

  • $500,00 from multiple grants secured for United Way.
