Kalantari-Johnson a ‘gift to our community’

Shebreh Kalantari-Johnson has been a gift to our community. Coming to California from Iran as a 7 year old, Shebreh has focused her education and work experience on public health, social equity, and economic vitality.
She is a gifted grant writer and has raised millions for non-profits in all areas of the county. She comes from an entrepreneurial family and understands the role money plays in achieving both social goals and family success.
My daughter, Cara, and I have worked with Shebreh on the Dignity Health Board of Community Advisors. We saw her extraordinary skill at reconciling conflicting opinions into mutually agreeable policies. This political art she demonstrates as a Santa Cruz City Council member.
As local business owners our family thinks Shebreh Kalantari-Johnson would be a wonderful addition to the Board of Supervisors team.
